Now with the company for four years, Jerry has overseen the rapid growth that the industry and LPS has experienced with the foreclosure crisis and housing market meltdown and its impact on field service operations.  Jerry has brought a unique perspective to the business with a heavy emphasis on technology solutions and analytics to address root cause issues facing the company.

One of the major challenges that Jerry has seen is the issue of bids and overallowable requests in the midst of extreme pricing pressures from the clients.  He acknowledges the value of using a cost estimator and the need to be competitive when pricing various services.  A cost estimator provides the needed validation of the pricing on the front end of the process before the supplier/contractor submits their bid to the National.

Of course, in order for any cost estimator to truly be effective, there must be concurrence among all the parties as to the methodology and instrument being used.  Jerry was pleased to know that NAMFS is currently working with Bluebook on their Repair Base project and will be supporting all efforts within the marketplace to create and implement a tool for industry-based pricing that makes sense for our members.

Our two hour meeting went quickly and I'm glad I had the opportunity to bring Jerry up to date on association accomplishments and initiatives.  LPS, and its predecessors, has been a huge supporter of NAMFS since its inception providing human and financial resources for 22 years.  We look forward to many more years of this lasting relationship.
